“Global Women’s Science, Society, and Nature" is dedicated to publishing research that explores the intersections of health, societal influences, and environmental factors affecting women from Global South countries, including those migrants to Global North countries. In our journal, the term “women” encompasses cisgender women, transgender women, femme/feminine-identifying individuals, genderqueer, and nonbinary people.
We acknowledge that the terms "Global South" and "Global North" can be problematic and may oversimplify complex realities. However, we use these terms as they effectively convey our focus on reuniting science from about 130 countries, representing about two-thirds of the world’s population across Africa, the Middle East, Asia, Oceania, Latin America, and the Caribbean, thus promoting diversity and inclusivity in academic research. Please follow the links at the end of this page to know more about it.
